Description

In this painting by Geoff Taylor the background has a fantasy city with twinkling lights. There are many plumes of smoke leading to a twilight of reds brown colours lit by the moon. In the foreground are three men in armour one leaning on a large rock looking towards the viewer the other two stand with spears, shields and swords waiting for instructions.

Synopsis for Original Title

The Saints of the Sword. Emperor Biagio, once a madman, now wants peace. However, his cruelest minions are amassing an army to usurp his throne. Biagio sends the governor's illegitimate son, Alazrian Leth, who has magical talents, on a mission to convince outlawed priest Jahl Rob and the Saints of the Sword to search for the exiled ruler of Aramoor and the mysterious people called the Triin.
