Stone Angels - art by Geoff Taylor

Description

In this painting by Geoff Taylor a large stone Angel with wings open is standing on a plinth, in a domed church like building, with shafts of light which illuminate the scene. Several large stone columns of multicoulor rock or marble catch the light.

Synopsis for Original Title

Stone Angels. A whisper of wings, a scrape of of stone on stone, the creak of ancient joints too long unused. These are the sounds that echo through darkened halls of Norwich cathedral when Abbadon, the Dark Angel, stirs. Then comes another! the sound of terror as the ungodly bloodstone is annointed.
